Challenge

As ShipNetwork scaled its operations, it encountered growing complexity in managing inventory, order accuracy, and fulfillment efficiency across its distributed fulfillment network. The existing systems lacked the scalability and automation required to support its growth trajectory. Inventory tracking was inconsistent, creating risk for overselling or delayed shipments. The company also faced supply chain disruptions, rising shipping costs, and labor shortages that strained its ability to maintain service-level guarantees. On the technology side, the infrastructure was fragmented, limiting visibility into key performance metrics and delaying critical business decisions. Communication between systems and teams was often manual, which introduced inefficiencies and human errors. The organization needed a scalable, integrated solution that would improve accuracy, enable real-time decision-making, and automate key processes across the fulfillment lifecycle.

Solution

Motomtech partnered with ShipNetwork through its Technology Department as a Service model, embedding a cross-functional team to modernize and streamline the company’s digital infrastructure.

Phase 1

Conceptualization

The engagement began with a full assessment of operational workflows, existing software systems, and end-user pain points. Motomtech’s team worked closely with ShipNetwork stakeholders to define the architecture of a modern logistics management platform that would provide real-time visibility, predictive reporting, and enhanced automation.

Phase 2

Implementation

The team designed a new user experience and system flow to support warehouse operations, inventory tracking, shipping coordination, and reporting. Motomtech delivered a complete web and mobile solution that integrated seamlessly with existing fulfillment systems. The backend was developed in C# to ensure robust performance, while the frontend was built using React to deliver a responsive and user-friendly interface. Advanced reporting capabilities were integrated using PowerBI, enabling leadership to track metrics like order accuracy, fulfillment times, and shipping costs in real time.

Phase 3

Maintenance & Enhancement

Motomtech also implemented a secure DevOps infrastructure to support ongoing deployments and ensure system stability at scale. Once the Minimum Viable Product was launched, the team continued to enhance the product, rolling out new roadmap features and maintaining constant feedback loops with stakeholders. By serving as a full-scale technology department, Motomtech empowered ShipNetwork to remain agile and competitive in a logistics landscape marked by rising complexity and customer expectations.
