Hosts can create real-world treasure hunts and virtual quests, and Motomtech replaced the legacy infrastructure that was buckling under growing user demand with a high-performance, mobile-first application built across web and mobile.

Daily Doubloons saw a 5x increase in scalability enabling significantly higher user traffic, a 40% improvement in load times paired with a redesigned interface, a 50% reduction in setup time for hosts creating and managing treasure hunts, and 100% readiness for future development thanks to a modular foundation. The new architecture supports both physical and virtual experiences without the performance bottlenecks of the legacy system.

Daily Doubloons runs on a Node.js backend for scalability, with React Native handling cross-platform mobile and web delivery. A new DevOps pipeline supports frequent, reliable releases, and the modular architecture is designed for fast feature expansion.

Motomtech operated as Daily Doubloons’ full Technology Department as a Service across three phases: conceptualization with stakeholder interviews, legacy infrastructure review, and a software blueprint; software prototyping with wireframes and an interactive prototype; and implementation with a high-performance mobile-first build and a new DevOps pipeline. The structured approach aligned technology upgrades with user needs and business goals.
