Challenge
One Home Solution had been relying on an off-the-shelf software platform to manage its home maintenance operations. While functional at a basic level, the system lacked the flexibility and customization needed to support the company’s specific workflows and service model. Many of the features were either irrelevant or missing altogether, making it difficult for internal teams to operate efficiently or deliver a smooth customer experience. The platform’s interface was outdated and not intuitive, which created usability issues for staff and customers alike. Even more critical was the absence of key capabilities, like real-time reporting, task automation, and centralized communication.
Solution
Motomtech addressed One Home Solution’s challenges through its Technology Department as a Service offering, providing a full-scale, embedded digital team to lead the transformation from outdated workflows to a seamless, digital-first operation.
Phase 1
Conceptualization
The project began with deep discovery. Motomtech conducted interviews with internal teams, field technicians, and customers to fully understand the day-to-day operations and pain points of the existing system. The insights gathered helped define a unified product vision that prioritized transparency, scalability, and ease of use for all user roles.
Phase 2
Software Prototype
With a clear direction established, the team moved into prototyping. Motomtech designed a comprehensive user journey, built wireframes, and developed an interactive prototype that visualized how the future system would function. The prototype helped stakeholders visualize and refine features early on, focusing on usability, role clarity, and seamless interaction across devices.
Phase 3
Implementation
Motomtech developed and launched a full suite of integrated applications tailored to homeowners, technicians, and administrative teams. The Client App, available on both mobile and web, gave customers complete control over their service journey, from scheduling and estimate requests to property management and payments. For field technicians, a dedicated mobile and web interface streamlined job tracking, workflow updates, and invoicing directly from the field. At the core of the ecosystem, a powerful Back Office System allowed One Home Solution’s internal team to manage customer data, service requests, job scheduling, employee oversight, and financial operations from a single, centralized dashboard. Each platform was designed to reflect the real-world responsibilities of its users while remaining deeply interconnected with the rest of the system.

Maintenance & Enhancement
By creating this interconnected platform, Motomtech helped One Home Solution break free from the constraints of their outdated system. The result was a secure, scalable, and fully tailored solution built to support growth, improve service quality, and give every team, from customer service to field operations, the tools they needed to work efficiently.
