Challenge
Before Purposly, most platforms focused on helping users choose a career based on what's available, not what’s meaningful. The founders had a different vision: create a digital space where purpose comes first and the rest follows. But turning something as abstract as “purpose” into a structured, scalable product was a challenge. They needed to create assessments that felt personal, leverage AI for insightful feedback, and provide actionable recommendations, all without overwhelming the user. Another key barrier was integrating multiple workflows: AI-powered assessments, user-generated inputs, dynamic next steps, and third-party integrations (like job listings and universities) into a seamless experience.
Solution
Motomtech stepped in through its Technology Department as a Service, assembling a dedicated team to bring this vision to life from the ground up.
Phase 1
Conceptualization
We began by validating the product through in-depth stakeholder interviews and competitive research. With that foundation, we designed a dynamic, conversational interface where users interact with AI to reflect on questions about impact, values, and passions.
Phase 2
Software Prototype
These responses are interpreted in real-time and displayed on a rich Results Page that outlines a user’s purpose, audience, and recommended next actions. To give users greater control, we enabled flexible branching logic: they can either finalize their results or continue refining their answers in a second round with the AI.
Phase 3
Implementation
We also introduced features that extend the platform’s value beyond assessment. From community engagement to purpose-aligned career coaching and CV building, users are encouraged to apply their insights in tangible ways. For deeper development, we integrated feedback tools allowing peers or mentors to provide external evaluations of the user’s traits and impact.
Phase 4
Maintenance & Enhancement
On the backend, we used Node.js, React Native, and AWS infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and future scalability. The end result is a polished platform that turns introspection into impact, helping users not only define their “why” but also pursue it with clarity and direction.
