About Wedax

Wedax is a data extraction and monitoring platform built for large-scale insight generation. It helps global brands keep pace with eCommerce marketplaces that change by the hour, automating how data gets gathered, cleaned, analyzed, and delivered. The system covers a lot of ground. It tracks product compliance, aggregates competitor reviews, and keeps every insight accurate, timely, and ready to act on.

Challenge

Wedax's clients expected hyper-accurate data, pulled from thousands of inconsistent sources and cleaned in real time. Tracking product listings across hundreds of eCommerce marketplaces was one job. Reading customer sentiment from blogs and forums was another. Either way, the platform had to return data that was structured, clean, and free of errors. The business also needed this intelligence to plug straight into the external tools and platforms clients already ran. Building that from scratch meant getting three things right at once: scalable architecture, a user experience people could actually follow, and automation that ran without hand-holding.

Solution

Motomtech’s Technology Department as a Service stepped in to build Wedax from the ground up.

Phase 1

Conceptualization

We scoped the product around Wedax's three core value propositions: market-wide product monitoring, product compliance tracking, and brand sentiment analysis. We dug into what analysts, compliance teams, and marketing users each needed, because the goal was actionable intelligence, not a pile of raw data. Out of that work came a detailed software blueprint that laid out the user journeys, the data logic, and the integration requirements.

Phase 2

Software Prototype

Our designers worked side by side with stakeholders to build out a complete UX flow that would hold up even for users wrangling large data sets. We turned the wireframes into a clickable prototype. It showed how someone could move through compliance alerts, upload product rulesets, and review brand sentiment from several sources in a single dashboard.

Phase 3

Implementation

Motomtech's development team built a scalable web application using Node and React, able to gather and process both structured and unstructured data. The system ingests content from a range of sources, normalizes it, and runs it through a rules engine that fires alerts or recommendations. We also built integrations so the data could sync with third-party platforms. We deployed the product on secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and launched it as a live MVP.

Phase 4

Maintenance & Enhancement

After launch, we kept expanding the platform along a roadmap that covered deeper analytics, better rule customization, and faster sync with external data tools. Our team stays in close contact with Wedax, refining features around client feedback, how the use cases evolve, and shifts in the market.

Frequently asked questions

What did Motomtech build for Wedax’s data extraction platform?

Motomtech built Wedax from the ground up as an intelligent data extraction and monitoring platform for global brands. The system handles automated data gathering, cleaning, analysis, and delivery across product compliance tracking, competitor review aggregation, and brand sentiment analysis, with a rules engine that triggers alerts or recommendations from structured and unstructured sources.

How much data does the Wedax platform ingest each month?

Wedax ingests and cleans more than 12 million records monthly through scalable multi-source processing, monitors more than 100 marketplaces for product compliance with automatic checks and regulatory flagging, delivers 3x faster insights through feedback loops, and supports an 85% reduction in response time to brand sentiment changes and customer review trends.

What technology stack powers the Wedax data extraction platform?

Wedax runs on a Node backend with AWS infrastructure including AWS Fargate, Amazon S3, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudFront, and Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring. The frontend is built with React, and the platform was engineered to ingest content from various sources, normalize the data, and pass it through a rules engine.

How does Wedax deliver zero-error data to its clients?

Wedax pulls data from thousands of inconsistent sources and cleans it in real time before delivery, with a rules engine that triggers alerts or recommendations and integrations that sync the cleaned data with third-party platforms clients already use. Founder Corey Young credited Motomtech with helping build the data engine that lets Wedax deliver zero-error insights as a key client differentiator.

How did Motomtech’s Technology Department as a Service model support Wedax’s build?

Motomtech assigned a 3 Full-Time Equivalent small team covering Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, QA, Technical Writer, DevOps, UX/UI, and 2 Developers, owning the build from conceptualization through software prototyping, web application development, and ongoing roadmap delivery. Founder Corey Young said the team worked like they were part of Wedax itself.
